The comeback of Nokia is perhaps the most interesting story in phones of 2017, and now its first range of devices seems to be complete, with the introduction of the brand new Nokia 8.

The Nokia 8 features a dual-sensor rear shooter that can capture ‘bokeh’ images with an attractive background blur, and uses a RGB and monochrome sensor in tandem for better low light photography.

The Nokia 8 has a vibrant 5.3 inch screen display. The body of the phone is thin, coming in at 7.9mm at its thickest point, but the edges curve down, so it sits comfortably in the hand. The Nokia 8 isn’t waterproof , but it’s splash-resistant at IP54, which should mean you’ll be able to use it in the rain without having to worry about flooding the internals.

Below the screen is a fingerprint scanner, which sits between the two navigation buttons and is in an easy-to-reach position to tap to unlock the phone

LG G6

The G6 is a much more conservative design than its predecessor, taking the form of a sealed unit that drops the removable battery, replacing it with a larger-capacity power pack and waterproof shell. Surprisingly, this phone isn’t using the latest chipset from Qualcomm, so you won’t be getting the full grunt of the Snapdragon 835. However, LG maintains this was a decision to benefit the consumer – using a chip it had expertise with rather than an unknown entity it couldn’t test fully.

Anyone aware of the LG G5’s design will be surprised by just how normal this phone looks. Gone is the dull plastic back of the LG G3, the odd leather of the G4 or the come-apart design of last year’s phone – the LG G6 is smooth and classy all the way around. And it’s got the features that matter, like IP68 certification for water and dust resistance.
