Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek G90T chipset with Cortex-A76 CPU and Mali G76 GPU. The smartphone is backed by an 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage.

On the hardware front, the company has also included a heat dissipation heat pipe that is capable of effectively cooling down the smartphone up to 2 degrees of surface temperature while charging or playing games. The handset is fuelled by a 4,500mAh non-removable battery with 33W flash charging support. The company claims that the flash charger is capable of charging up to 70 percent in 30 minutes.

On the connectivity part, the Tecno Camon 16 Premier include GSM, WCDMA, LTE (FDD, TDD), GPRS, HSPA+, FULL EDGE, GPS, WIFI, FM, BT, and OTG. The smartphone runs on Android 10 on top of HiOS.
