Infinix GT 50 Pro Review: A Deep Dive Into the Ultimate Budget Gaming Phone

Are you searching for an affordable smartphone that can handle intensive mobile gaming without lagging or overheating? The Infinix GT 50 Pro might be the perfect solution for your needs. Released globally in April 2026 and serving as the official device for the PUBG Mobile Global Open, this handset targets budget-conscious mobile gamers who refuse to compromise on performance.

In this comprehensive review, we will explore the core features, unique cooling mechanics, day-to-day usability, and current pricing details of this powerhouse.

Superstar-inspired Cyber Mecha Design

First impressions matter, and the Infinix GT 50 Pro immediately grabs attention with its aesthetic style. The smartphone features a bold, supercar-inspired “Cyber Mecha” design language on its rear panel. The body utilizes clean, aerodynamic lines that mimic sculpted racing cars. Buyers can choose from three distinct color variants: Black Abyss, Red Blaze, and Silver Glacier.

Furthermore, the back panel includes a unique engineering breakthrough called the “Explicit Viewport Design.” This transparent window exposes the internal channels of the phone’s liquid cooling system. To enhance the gaming vibe, mechanical light waves surround the camera frame. These RGB elements offer eight customizable lighting styles and 14 dynamic effects for notifications, charging status, or in-game actions.

Unmatched MediaTek Dimensity Performance

Under the hood, the Infinix GT 50 Pro relies on the formidable MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate processor. Built on an efficient 4nm architecture, this octa-core chipset easily clocks up to 3.25 GHz. The platform works alongside 12GB of physical LPDDR5X RAM. Additionally, you can expand this memory by another 12GB using virtual RAM extension technology. Consequently, high-frame-rate rendering and multitasking feel completely seamless.

To push visual boundaries, Infinix introduced a dedicated MFRC GPU frame interpolation chip. This hardware allows the phone to deliver up to 144FPS gaming in popular, compatible titles such as Free Fire Max and Call of Duty: Mobile.

The HydroFlow Active Liquid Cooling System

Heat is the ultimate enemy of mobile performance. Therefore, Infinix developed the HydroFlow Liquid Cooling System to eliminate thermal throttling entirely. This setup features a massive 7,700 square millimeter 3D vapor chamber combined with dual piezoelectric ceramic plates.

More importantly, a built-in micro-pump system actively circulates 6.5ml of real liquid coolant per minute. This active circulation increases heat dissipation efficiency by up to 63% compared to older models. As a result, the phone maintains consistent framerates and comfortable external temperatures during extended gaming marathons.

Dedicated Hardware for Competitive Gamers

Infinix did not just build a fast phone; they built a dedicated gaming tool. The device features several hardware integrations designed to give you a competitive edge over your opponents:

- Pressure-Sense GT Triggers: The right side of the frame houses capacitive shoulder triggers. Because these dual-pressure zones simulate real physical buttons and provide haptic feedback, you can map actions like aiming and shooting effortlessly. They support four unique input modes (light press, hard press, left swipe, right swipe) across 10 adjustable sensitivity levels.
- Self-Developed N1 Network Chip: Online gaming demands an immaculate connection. The dedicated N1 chip works with a 360-degree antenna array. This setup improves network signal strength by up to 60% in weak reception zones, ensuring low latency regardless of how you hold the device.
- Bypass Charging Technology: When you plug the phone in while playing, power routes directly to the motherboard rather than the battery cell. Consequently, the phone avoids generating battery heat during live gaming sessions.

Stunning 144Hz AMOLED Visuals

Visuals look incredibly sharp on the 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display. The panel boasts a resolution of 1208 x 2644 pixels and supports a blistering 144Hz refresh rate for ultra-smooth motion. Furthermore, it utilizes a 2304Hz PWM dimming frequency to protect your eyes during nighttime use. Because the display hits a staggering peak brightness of 4,500 nits, outdoor visibility remains excellent even under direct sunlight. For added durability, a sheet of Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protects the front panel against drops and scratches.

Massive 6,500mAh Battery and Charging Specs

To sustain long gaming sessions, the phone carries a massive 6,500mAh lithium-polymer battery. This massive cell can easily last normal users up to two full days of regular employment. When you finally run out of power, the 45W wired fast charging fills the battery quickly. Additionally, it supports 30W wireless charging, which is a rare feature within this price bracket. The device even supports reverse wired and wireless options to charge your accessories on the go.

Everyday Camera and Audio Capabilities

While the focus remains on gaming, the secondary features hold their own. The rear module features a 50MP main camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) for steady daytime and nighttime photography. An 8MP ultrawide camera accompanies the main sensor to capture broader landscapes. On the front, a 13MP punch-hole selfie camera handles video calls clearly and records up to 4K video.

For audio, the phone includes dual stereo speakers tuned by JBL with Dolby Atmos support. This setup provides rich spatial positioning, allowing you to hear enemy footsteps clearly without headphones.
